Peter A Lowing B.Com (UNSW) LLB (SYD) OBE (PRINCIPAL)
Peter Lowing is an Australian lawyer. He is admitted in the Fiji Islands, New South Wales and Papua New Guinea. He holds degrees in both commerce and law from the University of New South Wales and University of Sydney respectively. Peter specialises in legal practice in and around the south west Pacific.
Peter Lowing arrived in Papua New Guinea in January 1983. He was employed as general counsel with the National Capital District Commission, the statutory authority governing the National Capital District of Papua New Guinea. He gave general advice to the Commission and its corporate subsidiaries, drafted legislation for the Commission and the National Government and conducted in house training for the Commission’s Papua New Guinean lawyers and enforcement officers.
In early 1986, Peter was contracted by the five Papuan provincial governments in Papua New Guinea to establish a secretariat to provide training to staff and professional expertise, including legal services, to each. He remained with the Secretariat as its Director General until the end of 1986. The position of Director General involved the management of the Secretariat and the provision of advice to the provincial governments and training of provincial legal officers and finance officers.
At the end of 1986 Peter was approached by Australian law firm Gadens and commenced work with them in February 1987. He was made a partner of Gadens in both Australia and Papua New Guinea in 1987 and senior and managing partner of its PNG practice in 1991. The practice employed about 17 lawyers, both expatriate and Papua New Guinean.
In 1993, when the Allens Arthur Robinson group decided that they would open a legal practice in Papua New Guinea, they approached Peter for his assistance. In 1994, Peter took on a consultancy with the group established the Allens Arthur Robinson office in Port Moresby. In December 1999 Peter left Papua New Guinea and Allens Arthur Robinson. It was, during Peter’s stewardship the most successful private legal practice in PNG.
Peter was a consultant to and with the Australian law firm Tress Cocks and Maddox after taking up residence in Australia in June 2000.
In June 2001 Peter obtained the requisite Attorney General approval to own and run his own practice in PNG. The practice is known as Peter Allan Lowing Lawyers and is part of the Pacific Legal Network. The practice in PNG has 4 partners and 10 lawyers.
Since about January 2006 Peter has been resident in the Fiji Islands and is running Lowing and Associates.
Siddharth Nandan LLB, LLM (Waikato) (Special Counsel)
Mr Siddharth Nandan is a Fijian citizen who graduated from the University of Waikato with a Masters in Law. He also completed an Advanced Dispute Resolution course. Mr Nandan is admitted as a member of the Fiji Law Society and is a member of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association. Mr Nandan was also admitted to the Bar in Waikato, New Zealand. He is the current council member of the Fiji Law Society.
Mr Nandan is currently a partner in Lowing and Associates. He has extensive experience in Commercial and Corporate Litigation. He has experience in handling large commercial transaction including but not limited to cross-border transactions. He has been called upon to act as an Arbitrator in the commercial and employment disputes in the aviation industry. He has also taught commercial law at the tertiary level and is currently a member of the Fiji Law Society.

Mereseini Belinda Vanua LLP (USP) PDLP (USP) (Associates)
Mereseini graduated with a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of the South Pacific at Emalus Campus in Vanuatu in 2007. In 2008 she undertook the Professional Diploma in Legal Practice at the Laucala Campus in USP and spent one month of practical at the Attorney Generals Chambers. She successfully completed the programme and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor to the Fiji Bar on August of that same year. She joined the legal team of Lowing and Associates in September 2008.
(Head) Annabelle Jesse Lowing BA (SYD) MLLP (UTS) (ASSOCIATES)
Annabelle is an associate of the firm and has resided in Fiji for over two years. Annabelle was admitted in NSW in February 2009 and in Fiji in 2010. Annabelle worked in mitigation and property law.
